Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Medicaid eligibility policies and procedures.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume, deadline-driven unit.
  • Excellent writing and data-entry skills; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify management indicators to provide data for MAP Administrators and Division Directors.
  • Authorize and document compliance decisions citing applicable regulations.
  • Provide rationale for fair hearing outcomes and recommendations for modification of procedures.
  • Develop training materials and mentor staff on compliance and advocate inquiries.
  • Manage staff attendance, timekeeping and performance in a busy unit.
  • Coordinate with executives, legal teams and external agencies on case status and compliance issues.

Medicaid eligibility knowledge

Education

Bachelor’s degree + 2 years clerical/administrative experience
Associate degree + 3 years clerical/administrative experience
High school diploma + 4 years clerical/administrative experience
Education/experience equivalency with supervisory experience
