Job summary

Torc Robotics is seeking a Software Engineer for the Map Enablement team to design and scale mapping and routing data pipelines in preparation for commercial expansion.

You will translate vague requirements into concrete technical designs, collaborating across teams to deliver well-scoped features and robust services. This role emphasizes data-driven decisions, testing, and on-call support.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's or Master’s in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or related field with strong competence and 4+ years of experience (or 0-3+ years with a Master’s).
• Proficient in C++ and Python; knowledge of AWS services is required.
• Experience building and operating high-throughput data processing pipelines.
• Ability to translate vague requirements into concrete technical designs and autonomous path forward.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable mapping and routing data pipelines and services for commercial launch.
• Translate ambiguous problems into well-scoped features and drive technical design.
• Collaborate with Map Enablement and neighboring teams to understand customer needs.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Promote operational excellence with testing, monitoring, and alerting; participate in on-call rotation.
