Job summary

Torc Robotics is seeking a Software Engineer to help build and support Linux- and cloud-based data systems. You’ll contribute to AWS-based ingestion, ETL and storage for analytics, simulation, and ML training across the company.

You will collaborate with perception, planning, control, mapping and vehicle testing teams to deliver scalable data pipelines and data lake improvements. Remote-first team; on-call rotation included.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Engineering, CS or related field.
• Experience writing code with Python.
• Practical Docker/containerization experience.
• Strong test-driven development, CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with Linux and bash scripting.
• Experience deploying, troubleshooting, monitoring and maintaining Linux systems.

Responsibilities

• Create robust and resilient pipelines to process large data volumes from vehicle fleets and simulations.
• Build and support scalable pipelines as part of the Data Factory to enable ML training at scale.
• Scale the data lake with distributed storage, data crawling and discovery.
• Ensure data integrity through validation, versioning, provenance and governance.
• Collaborate with teams across perception, planning, control, mapping and testing to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Participate in on-call rotation to support deployed systems during business hours.
