Brockton Area Multi-Servi (BAMSI) in Carver, MA is hiring a Residential Counselor to provide rehabilitative support in Group Living Environments, helping adults develop daily living skills and community integration. You will teach ADLs, implement treatment plans under clinician guidance, administer medications per MAP guidelines, and help residents access community resources.

A MAP certification is required or must be obtained within 3 months of hire; strong English communication and compassion

Qualifications

• MAP certification required; training provided if not currently held.
• High school diploma or GED; direct care experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to assist with mobility.
• Strong English communication; basic computer skills.
• Compassion, patience, and trauma-informed approach.

Responsabilités

• MAP certification is required; training to obtain within 3 months if needed.
• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement Treatment Plans and clinician-guided interventions.
• Administer/supervise medications by MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.
