Job summary

BAMSI in Berlin, MA is hiring a Residential Counselor for MAP to help adults in group living environments build daily living skills and community integration.

You will implement treatment plans, supervise medications per MAP guidelines, transport residents to appointments, and advocate for residents' needs, while documenting care and maintaining a safe home environment. MAP certification is required or will be completed within 3 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; MAP certification mandatory or obtainable within 3 months.
• Mental health experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to assist with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement Treatment Plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents' needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.
