Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation in Charlotte is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to lead large-scale capital and manufacturing transformation projects that enable the successful launch of new products and production expansion.

You will work cross-functionally with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, Quality and Supply Chain to drive factory modernization, automation deployment, and production readiness initiatives, leveraging strong mechanical and electrical expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Facilities, or Industrial Engineering.
• 7+ years in manufacturing engineering and project management within an industrial environment.
• 1+ year leading factory transformations, capital projects, or industrialization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple large-scale capital and transformation projects; develop scopes, schedules, budgets.
• Lead cross-functional teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and financial goals.
• Drive execution from design through commissioning and handoff.
• Track risks, progress, and financial performance for leadership reviews.
• Install, start up, and validate manufacturing equipment and lines.
• Support facility modifications, utilities upgrades, and automation deployment.
• Provide mechanical and electrical engineering expertise for production systems.
• Collaborate with suppliers, OEMs, and contractors on equipment design and deployment.
