Job summary

Carrier's Senior Manufacturing Engineer role in Charlotte, NC is a hands-on position on the production floor, driving process improvements and resolution of complex issues across mechanical, electrical, controls, and testing areas.

Responsibilities include supporting line-side problem resolution, process development, and new product introductions while collaborating with operators, supervisors, and cross-functional teams to enhance manufacturability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required and 5+ years manufacturing experience.
• Experience troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical systems.
• Strong ability to read schematics and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day engineering support for air-cooled chiller production operations.
• Lead root-cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for assembly, electrical integration, and testing.
• Support new product introductions and design for manufacturability reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and production staff on problem-solving on the factory floor.
