Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Training & Documentation consultant to leverage Industrial Engineer experience for standardized training materials across manufacturing and warehouse operations.

The role involves observing processes on the production floor, engaging operators and SMEs, and translating current and improved processes into clear, operator-friendly SOPs, standard work, job instructions, and OJT materials to boost training, consistency, quality, safety, and

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, or related field.
Experience developing SOPs, work instructions, OJT documentation, or training materials.
Ability to translate complex processes into concise, operator-friendly instructions.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement.
Experience working with hourly manufacturing or warehouse employees.

Responsibilities

Observe and document manufacturing, assembly, testing, warehouse, receiving, and inventory processes.
Develop clear, visual SOPs, standard work, training guides, and process flow docs.
Create one-point lessons, checklists, and verification documents for on-the-floor use.
Identify inconsistencies and opportunities to reduce variation and waste.
Facilitate process reviews and implement revised standard work with CI teams.
Maintain document revision controls and support OJT programs and qualification tracking.
