Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC in Waterloo, Iowa seeks a Training & Development Manager to lead onboarding, technical skills development, and compliance training across the organization. You will partner with leaders to design effective programs that improve safety, quality, and operational excellence while scaling learning for all teams.

The role covers hands-on instruction, development of materials and SOPs, and coordination of new equipment training.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field (HR, Education, Business, or Organizational Development).
3–5 years in employee training, L&D, or technical training.
Experience delivering multi-department training programs.
Hands-on technical training ability and competency assessment.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety training requirements.
Ability to read blueprints and apply shop math in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Lead onboarding, schedules, and role-specific checklists with department leaders.
Deliver and oversee new hire training across departments and safety expectations.
Develop ongoing programs to strengthen technical proficiency and problem-solving.
Coordinate training for new equipment, tooling, and process changes.
Maintain training materials, SOPs, and job aids; evaluate effectiveness.
Develop safety and compliance training programs and keep records up to date.
