Job summary

Motrex LLC is seeking a Training Supervisor in Manchester, IA, to design, deliver, and oversee training for operations staff. You will work with a training coordinator and a material handler trainer to develop curricula and learning materials for all department tasks.

You will track training needs, assess learning gaps, and create metrics to measure impact on KPIs. Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills are essential in this manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, training, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• Experience developing learning strategies including digital learning.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises and assists the training coordinator and material handling trainer with all training activities
• Map out annual training plans for management and operators
• Design and develop training programs using training manuals, work instructions / SOPs and videos
• Select appropriate training methods or activities (e.g. simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training)
• Track training by employee and maintain records
• Conduct site-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed
• Develop and prepare educational/training aids and materials, as needed
• Develop training metrics and competency assessments to gauge overall impact of training program
• Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs
• Monitor employee performance and response to training
• Maintain updated curriculum database and training records
• Host train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts
• Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
• Evaluate effectiveness of training courses and provide summary reports to management, determine impact of training on employee skills and corporate goals
• Assesses training needs
• Follow safety policies to include the use of PPE
• Comply with safety and health regulations for the protection of self and fellow workers
• Comply with current Quality Systems requirements
• Perform other work as assigned by Management including 5S cleaning
