Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a hands‑on Manufacturing Training & Documentation consultant to apply Industrial Engineer experience to support the development and standardization of training materials across manufacturing and warehouse operations.

The role spends significant time on the floor observing processes, translating current and improved methods into clear SOPs, Standard Work, Job Instructions, and OJT materials that improve training, quality, safety, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, industrial training, technical writing, process engineering, continuous improvement.
• Ability to translate processes into clear SOPs, work instructions, and training materials.
• Experience engaging operators and SMEs to document current and improved methods.

Responsibilities

• Observe and document manufacturing, assembly, testing, warehouse, receiving, and inventory processes.
• Develop SOPs, Standard Work, and on-the-job training materials.
• Create visual, operator-friendly training documents with photos, diagrams, and process parameters.
• Support onboarding, qualification programs, and training matrices.
• Lead process reviews to ensure documentation reflects approved processes.
