Job summary

Accounting Search in Waterloo, IA seeks a Training & Development Manager to lead onboarding, technical skills development, and compliance training across the organization. The role partners with leaders to design effective programs that strengthen capabilities, promote safety, and support operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will oversee hands-on training, assess competency, and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing environments, including welding, assembly, and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as HR, Education, Business Administration, or Organizational Development.
• 3–5 years of experience in employee training, learning and development, or technical training.
• Experience developing and delivering training programs across multiple departments or job functions.
• Hands-on technical training delivery and competency assessment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety training requirements.
• Ability to read blueprints and basic shop math, and follow manufacturing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead employee onboarding and ongoing skills development programs across departments.
• Develop and maintain training materials, SOPs, job aids, and work instructions.
• Coordinate training for new equipment and manufacturing processes with Engineering, Operations, and Quality.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements based on assessments and feedback.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance training company-wide, including PPE and hazard recognition.
• Maintain training records, certifications, and renewal schedules; monitor progress and adherence.
