Job summary

SGS Consulting seeks a Training and Development Specialist to support Tallahassee manufacturing operations. You will design, implement, and track training programs, maintain records, and drive continuous TPM improvements in collaboration with leadership.

You will manage the Learning Center, mentor trainers/trainees, and ensure documentation compliance across shifts. Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in math and communication; able to convey concepts clearly.
• Reading and applying technical manuals and specs.
• Strong MS Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Train employees and develop training plans in partnership with leadership.
• Drive implementation of training plans and prioritize development needs.
• Support New Hire Orientation and certification in TPM methodology.
• Maintain training records, audits, and dashboards; track training hours and KPIs.
• Train on standardized work using SharePoint, Teams, and Box for records.
• Coordinate skills matrices and qualification checklists; monitor completion.
• Coach and mentor trainers/trainees to improve job performance.
• Develop training materials and models; revise standard work as needed.
• Lead TPM Learning Center operations and support change management of training materials.
• Participate in continuous improvement events and cross-functional collaboration.
