Job summary

Xylem Morton Grove site is seeking a Training Specialist to implement and run employee training programs. You will partner with site leadership and SMEs to ensure training plans are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with standards.

You will deliver classroom and on‑the‑job training, maintain materials, administer training records, and monitor completion. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and cross‑department collaboration in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as industrial engineering, manufacturing technology, educational technology, or adult education.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, with development and delivery of technical and safety training programs.
• Familiarity with safety and quality regulations in manufacturing, and strong communication of technical information.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, proficient with MS Office and training software.
• Strong relationship-building and negotiating skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the site's training plan, completing activities according to priorities and schedules.
• Coordinate training with supervisors, SMEs, and partners for onboarding and ongoing development.
• Create, revise, and maintain training modules, materials, and assessments with SMEs.
• Deliver classroom, hands-on, and on-the-job training to manufacturing employees.
• Track participation, completion, qualifications, and training requirements.
• Monitor training fulfillment and communicate upcoming or overdue items to stakeholders.
• Assist with onboarding and qualification activities to prep employees for roles.
• Observe training to assess effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collect and analyze training data to support continuous program improvements.
