Job summary

MCC Label is seeking a Training Specialist to lead and scale our production training program. You will drive safety, quality, and ramp-up readiness for operators, using video-based training, e-learning, and digital skills tracking to deliver consistent results across shifts and sites.

You will design and continuously improve training content, coordinate with HR and line managers, and certify staff to meet operational standards in a fast-growth, high-volume manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Proven ability to run a manufacturing operation.
• Lean manufacturing formal training/experience strongly preferred.
• Computer proficiency for data entry and calculations.
• Ability to make rational, logical, fact-driven decisions quickly.
• Experience with Radius, SAP, or other Production/Customer Management Systems.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs., 50 ft frequently.
• Proven experience leading and managing others.
• Experience designing and implementing scalable mass-training systems.
• Experience with modern training tools (video-based, e-learning, digital skills tracking).
• Experience in a large international corporation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is the plant's primary focus and promote safety awareness.
• Model the Corporate Values and Principles.
• Drive consistent quality and delivery reliability via training KPIs.
• Design and continuously improve scalable training for operators at pace.
• Manage fast ramp-up to full productivity for newly trained operators.
• Leverage video-based training, e-learning, and digital skills tracking.
• Collaborate with equipment partners to update training content.
• Scale training approach for headcount changes, seasonal demand, or new lines.
• Coordinate with production managers and HR on weekly training priorities.
• Deliver hands-on training or oversee technical trainers for certification.
• Attend monthly training meetings and track progress on goals.
• Maintain Skills Matrix and KPI boards for visibility and engagement.
• Continuously improve training programs across departments.
• Ensure thorough initial training during orientation and annual recertification.
