Job summary

Packaging-Corporation-of-America is seeking a Training Coordinator to lead and implement a comprehensive machine-operator training program across all shifts. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficient production with ongoing documentation and adherence to SOPs.

You will collaborate with the Production Manager, schedule training sessions, and ensure staff are proficient in setup, operation, and maintenance tasks while maintaining high morale in a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• 2-3 years’ work experience as a Machine Operator.
• Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ability to sit, stoop climb and bend.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to work on 2nd and 3rd Shift.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, facilitate, and implement a training program for all machine positions on all shifts.
• Initiate programs to set and maintain quality, efficiencies and production levels to high standards and communicate standards to staff.
• Make recommendations and assist in planning, methods and machinery, safety programs and standards.
• Maintain excellent working conditions, a safe work environment, and high morale within the plant.
• Keep Production Manager informed regarding problems or situations that may affect the overall production operation of the plant.
• Be available to operate the machines when needed on all shifts.
• Document machine training such as setup, operation, assisting, Load forming and production maintenance process.
• Follow all SOP's in production for Safety, Quality and manufacturing process.
• Assist crews to achieve the highest quality product with most efficient process.
• Communicate all findings to your supervisor and/or manager.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Additional duties may be assigned by management.
