Job summary

Victaulic is seeking a Manufacturing Trainer for its West Jordan, Utah facility. The role owns the full training lifecycle for production staff, focusing on welding processes (GMAW-P, GTAW), machine operation, and coatings, and creating structured documentation and learning materials.

You will assess skill gaps, design hands-on training, deliver sessions, track progress, and help develop operators. Strong communication, independence, and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Experience in a manufacturing or steel fabrication environment.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, efficiently, and be self-motivated and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate employees and identify weaknesses in production skills.
• Identify and conduct training tailored to individual skill levels.
• Work directly with shop employees to build new skills across the manufacturing process, including coating.
• Present technical data and training requirements through PowerPoint presentations and short videos.
• Encourage employees toward training and identify potential candidates for progression.
• Track employee success and progress throughout training.
• Support the rollout and communication of all training programs on a timely basis.
• Prepare and deliver manufacturing training sessions, measuring effectiveness based on success rate.
• Train and help develop employees on the operation of specific machinery.
• Train employees and maintain records for forklift and crane certifications.
• Support the FEM/5S program as needed.
