Job summary

Victaulic is seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Trainer to join our Kansas City, MO team. You will evaluate employees, identify weaknesses in production skills, and deliver training tailored to individual levels.

You’ll collaborate with shop staff to develop new skills in coating and welding, and present technical data through presentations and videos. You will lead onboarding, create procedures and training materials, and track progress.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/steel fabrication environment is preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, self-motivated and detail oriented.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with coating processes.
  • Knowledge of ASTM specifications, AWS/ASME welding codes is advantageous.
  • Robotic welding experience with programming is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate employees to identify weaknesses in production skills.
  • Identify training needs and conduct training accordingly at individual skill levels.
  • Develop new skills in the manufacturing process with shop employees, including coating.
  • Present technical data via PowerPoint and short videos.
  • Prepare and deliver manufacturing training sessions and measure effectiveness.
  • Train and develop employees on operation of specific machinery and welding processes.
  • Lead onboarding and new employee training; develop procedures, checklists, and forms (Day 1, Week 1, Month 1).
  • Coordinate crane and forklift training schedules; support FEM/5S and safety programs.
