Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer, Software/Electrical for our Quonset, RI facility. You will lead full-vehicle FAT testing, automate test sequences with Python, troubleshoot electrical and software issues, and document runbooks for repeatability.

You’ll work with Dive-XL engineering teams and help set up the new production line to enable fast, reliable testing on day one. Relocation assistance may be available; eligibility for a U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience designing tests for electromechanical hardware in manufacturing.
• Hardware testing and automated test systems.
• Programming in Python, MATLAB, shell or similar.
• Communication protocols such as USB, Ethernet, RS-232, RS-485, PCIe, HDMI and CAN.
• Bench equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs and programmable power supplies.
• Manufacturing test limits and the common failure modes that manufacturing introduces.
• Complex electromechanical systems and what it takes to make them work reliably.
• Full system test plans you wrote and ran on fast product development timelines.
• Programming and testing a wide range of sensors, actuators and electrical components.
• Prototyping and running your own tests from setup through hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Run full-vehicle dry FAT and wet FAT in our test tank as test conductor.
• Become SME on the vehicle's electrical and software checks, such as power sequencing and isolation.
• Validate the operator control stations that run the vehicle.
• Load the software build under test and confirm firmware/settings match release.
• Own test scope and improve efficiency without compromising product requirements.
• Provide design-for-test feedback to the product definition team.
• Triage failed steps and route to the correct owner.
• Troubleshoot with telemetry/logs and lead root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with global Dive-XL teams to propagate fixes.
• Automate FAT steps and record results automatically.
• Train technicians to run FAT and keep procedures aligned with design.
• Write troubleshooting runbooks with symptoms and fixes.
