Anduril Industries is building a new Dive-XL production line at Quonset Point, Rhode Island. This Manufacturing Test Engineer, Electrical/Mechanical role focuses on full-vehicle testing, FAT on the floor and in the test tank, and troubleshooting to quickly resolve issues.
You will lead the electromechanical testing efforts, collaborating with engineers and technicians, and set up the line's test processes from day one to drive a world-class production site.
Quonset, Rhode Island, United States
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.
Dive-XL is Anduril's extra-large autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV), built for ultra-long range and large modular payloads. It is the vehicle behind Ghost Shark, which we build in Sydney for the Royal Australian Navy.
We are now setting up the first U.S. Dive-XL production line at our 150,000 square foot campus in Quonset Point, Rhode Island. Designs and manufacturing BOMs live in Siemens NX and Teamcenter. Routings and digital work instructions live in ArsenalOS, our in-house MES, and materials and orders run through Oracle ERP.
This is a manufacturing test engineering role focused on full-vehicle testing. You will run Dive-XL through dry factory acceptance testing (FAT) on the floor and wet FAT in our onsite test tank, and troubleshoot what those tests find. You will lead on the electromechanical side, working with engineering and the technicians who run the tests.
If you are tired of legacy bureaucracy, you will feel the difference here from day one. The line is new, so you will set up its processes from the start, with the autonomy to help make Quonset a world-class production site.
You do not need subsea experience. We are looking for strong hands-on test and troubleshooting experience with electromechanical systems, and we will teach you the vehicle.
