Job summary

Austin Allen Inc in Jackson, MS is seeking a Test Engineer for our manufacturing facility. You will support and improve test systems, processes, and methods to boost reliability and equipment uptime.

A strong software background is required, with experience in LabVIEW, C++, VB.Net and VB6.0, plus hydraulic and pneumatic know‑how for a high‑volume environment. Responsibilities include modifying software and hardware as needed, maintaining test equipment, and using instruments such as

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Engineering/Industrial Technology.
• Three years of experience in a similar test engineer role.
• Test equipment support and PM development.
• Data analysis experience (R&R, SPC) and problem solving.
• PLC programming, design and debugging.
• PC (VB, VB.Net, VB6.0, SQL, LabVIEW).
• Electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic print creation and revision.
• Lab instrument setup and operation.
• Automated equipment troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve test systems, processes, and methods to boost reliability.
• Modify software and hardware to improve test equipment performance.
• Support equipment used to verify hardware and software functionality (oscilloscope, chart recorder, multimeter).
• Ensure preventative maintenance and spare parts systems identify opportunities for test process improvement.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to increase equipment uptime.
