Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer to lead high-impact manufacturing and process transformation initiatives.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance using Lean, Six Sigma, and project management methodologies. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field (engineering, operations, or related).
Experience leading Lean/CI initiatives in manufacturing environment.
Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
Analytical mindset with data-driven decision making.
Knowledge of Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead manufacturing projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, throughput, productivity, and cost performance.
Utilize Lean and Six Sigma DMAIC methodologies to drive process transformations and waste reduction.
Develop and execute project plans including scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and implementation strategies.
Identify opportunities, justify improvements financially, and establish metrics to measure impact.
Provide manufacturing engineering expertise to support process development, facility improvements, and equipment implementation.
Collaborate across Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance, Safety, and Product Engineering.
Coach teams on Lean principles and lead cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.
