Job summary
Chemours is seeking an early career Manufacturing Technology Chemical Engineer in New Johnsonville, TN to support manufacturing operations and continuous improvement efforts. The role reports to the Manufacturing Technology Manager and focuses on process monitoring, equipment expertise, and problem solving.
Responsibilities include safety reviews, process engineering support, and collaboration with technicians.
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited Chemical Engineering degree.
- At least 6 months of manufacturing or industrial experience.
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve process problems.
- Ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Willingness to mentor and train operators.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support to manufacturing area operations, monitor the process, troubleshoot.
- Lead PHA and PSSR reviews and other safety assessments.
- Provide expertise on reactors, heat and mass transfer, filtration and drying.
- Initiate MOC to improve safety, quality, and cost.
- Lead cost-reduction initiatives from ideation to savings validation.
- Assist capital project front-end loading to meet process requirements.
- Update SOPs, P&IDs, and process technology documents.
- Mentor operations staff and provide training support.
