Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking an early career Manufacturing Technology Chemical Engineer to join our New Johnsonville, TN team. You will support manufacturing operations, drive process improvements, troubleshoot equipment, and lead initiatives from ideation to savings validation.

Working with the Technology Manager and operations, you will apply knowledge of reactors, heat and mass transfer, and safety practices to improve uptime, product quality, and cost, while mentoring operators and

Qualifications

ABET-accredited Chemical Engineering degree.
At least 6 months of manufacturing or industrial experience (incl. co-op/internship).
Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve problems using technical knowledge.
Ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple, complex projects.
Collaborate in a team environment with initiative and self-motivation and flexibility to move projects forward safely.
Support process troubleshooting in the field with Technicians as requested.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering support to manufacturing area operations including daily monitoring and troubleshooting.
Lead and participate in Process Safety Management reviews (PHA, PSSR) and related safety reviews.
Provide engineering expertise on reactors, heat/mass transfer, filtration and drying technologies.
Initiate Management of Change (MOC) to improve safety, quality, environment, and cost.
Work on continuous improvement activities to improve area performance.
Lead cost reduction initiatives from ideation to savings validation and implementation.
