Job summary

Hurco Companies, Inc. in Indianapolis is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for a first-shift, full-time role. You will receive hands-on training to install options and accessories for CNC machines and learn to inspect, troubleshoot and repair them.

Located at our headquarters in Indianapolis, this position offers hands-on growth opportunities. Duties include testing machine functions, calibrating axis movement, recording defects, preparing units for shipment, and maintaining safety and quality

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or an Associate's degree
• Mechanical/Electrical aptitude preferred

Responsibilities

• Installs and tests machine options according to verified procedures.
• Verifies/calibrates axis movement and travel limits; makes adjustments as needed.
• Verifies spindle drive speed and adjusts parameters as necessary.
• Verifies and records spindle retention force.
• Tests machine functions to locate defects and determine need for adjustments.
• Prepares machines for shipment (skids, protective covering).

We are looking to grow our Manufacturing Team at our Hurco headquarters in Indianapolis. As a Manufacturing Technician, you receive hands-on training on installing options and accessories for custom-configured CNC Machine Tools; and learn how to inspect, troubleshoot and repair machines.

First-Shift Full-Time Position with World Class Benefits

Position Duties:

• Installs and tests machine options according verified procedures. Documents all mechanical defects and material discrepancies.
• Verifies and calibrates axis movement and ensures travel limits are correct according to specifications; makes adjustments when necessary.
• Verifies spindle drive runs at correct speed; adjust control and/or drive parameters if necessary.
• Verifies and records spindle retention force.
• Tests machine for specific functions to locate defects, measure performance and determine need for adjustments.
• Prepare machines for shipment, i.e. places machines on skids, wraps / covers machines with plastic/protective covering.
• Previous forklift experience preferred

Requirements:

• 2+ Years of Experience in Manufacturing Environment or Associates Degree
• Mechanical/Electrical aptitude preferred

Starting Hourly Rate of $21.00, plus benefits like:
