Job summary

Hurco, headquartered in Indianapolis, is hiring a Manufacturing Technician to install options and accessories for custom-configured CNC machine tools and to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines.

First-shift, full-time position with world-class benefits. 2+ years in manufacturing or an associate degree required; mechanical/electrical aptitude preferred. Starting rate $21.00 per hour, with medical, dental, and vision insurance beginning the first month after hire.

Qualifications

• 2+ Years of Experience in Manufacturing Environment or Associates Degree.
• Mechanical/Electrical aptitude preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs and tests machine options according to verified procedures.
• Documents all mechanical defects and material discrepancies.
• Verifies and calibrates axis movement and ensures travel limits per specifications; makes adjustments.
• Verifies spindle drive runs at correct speed; adjusts control/drive parameters as needed.
• Verifies and records spindle retention force.
• Tests machine for functions to locate defects, measure performance and determine need for adjustments.
• Prepares machines for shipment (skids, wrap/protective covering).
• Previous forklift experience preferred.

We are looking to grow our Manufacturing Team at our Hurco headquarters in Indianapolis. As a Manufacturing Technician, you receive hands-on training on installing options and accessories for custom-configured CNC Machine Tools; and learn how to inspect, troubleshoot and repair machines.

Position Duties:

• Installs and tests machine options according verified procedures. Documents all mechanical defects and material discrepancies.
• Verifies and calibrates axis movement and ensures travel limits are correct according to specifications; makes adjustments when necessary.
• Verifies spindle drive runs at correct speed; adjust control and/or drive parameters if necessary.
• Verifies and records spindle retention force.
• Tests machine for specific functions to locate defects, measure performance and determine need for adjustments.
• Prepare machines for shipment, i.e. places machines on skids, wraps / covers machines with plastic/protective covering.
• Previous forklift experience preferred
