The Manufacturing Technician II is a direct labor position reporting to a Process Execution Team (PET) Manager on the Manufacturing floor, supporting Filling operations. This role requires working in Controlled/Non-Classified and Classified areas. The Filling Technician operates equipment, performs in-process monitoring, line clearances, OEE data collection, cosmetic inspection, cleaning, and batch record entries in accordance with cGMPs.

Job Responsibilities

1. Operate assigned machinery, including servicing filling machines, removing finished materials, and ensuring smooth product flow.
2. Assemble, disassemble, operate, and sanitize various filling equipment.
3. Perform filter integrity testing as per SOP.
4. Maintain a clean and GMP-compliant environment through cleaning and housekeeping activities.
5. Start up machinery and make minor adjustments as needed.
6. Input data into computer systems, including SCADA and HMI.
7. Conduct visual and physical checks of materials.
8. Use printing devices, including printing mats.
9. Complete batch records and GMP documentation accurately, including mathematical computations.
10. Understand product security controls and material handling equipment.
11. Ensure outgoing quality levels are maintained.
12. Understand aseptic behaviors, media fills, line interventions, and monitoring equipment.
13. Perform inventory control and reconciliation, possibly using SAP.
14. Follow SOPs, cGMPs, safety procedures, and OSHA guidelines; be familiar with MSDS for chemicals.
15. Follow safety procedures, including PPE, ergonomics, LOTO, and spill controls; report discrepancies.
16. Assist with preventive maintenance as required.
17. Support lean activities and process improvements, including 5S, SMED, and performance tracking.
18. Assist with executing validation/engineering protocols.
19. Identify process improvement opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance.
20. Be flexible in training and support other filling functions.
21. Perform additional duties with minimal supervision under the process facilitator's guidance.

Minimum Requirements:

• Effective communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Attention to detail; capable of accurate record-keeping and calculations.
• Maintain required certifications and qualifications.
• Motivated to learn new skills and contribute to team success.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing environments.
• Availability for overtime with minimal notice.

Preferred Requirements:

• 1 year of experience in pharmaceutical or cGMP environments.
• Production experience.
• Experience in LEAN manufacturing.
• Knowledge of cGMPs and FDA policies.
