Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician I to maintain machine programs, PD files, and set-ups while driving line efficiency and product quality. The role involves diagnosing non-SMT equipment, performing repairs, and supporting changeovers.

You will train Manufacturing Engineering Tech I staff and collaborate with engineers to optimize reflow, wave solder, and solder paste printing processes. This position emphasizes safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop machine programs, part definition (PD) files and machine set-ups.
• Observe machine and line performance and determine steps to achieve optimum line efficiency and product quality.
• Perform initial diagnosis of non-SMT equipment on assigned lines and execute repairs; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Assist with machine operation to expedite changeover and improve line efficiency.
• Interface with Line Supervisors, Manufacturing Engineers and the Manufacturing Engineering Technician to determine corrective actions.
• Provide training to Manufacturing Engineering Tech I employees.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineers in achieving optimum process performance by measuring or optimizing reflow and wave solder profiles and screen printing of solder paste.
• Provide daily pass-down reports to project and manufacturing engineers on shift.
