Position Summary

We seek a motivated and qualified Assembly Technician with experience in manufacturing product assembly and finishing to join our team. This is a direct-hire position with excellent benefits!

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Manufacturing Technician I

• Set up, load, operate light manufacturing machinery, and inspect SMT assemblies following defined methods and procedures, using judgment and interpretation.
• Prepare and pull parts for jobs.
• Solder components using soldering iron or wave solder machines.
• Inspect for potential failures such as solder bridges or incorrectly inserted parts.
• Read and interpret technical drawings.
• Kit and enter jobs into the system.
• Complete manufacturing documentation accurately.
• Set up and verify equipment performance as directed by the team leader.
• Configure SMT equipment for pre-programmed models.
• Operate SMT equipment including pick and place machines, stencil machines, and reflow ovens.
• Inspect and rework SMT assemblies under a microscope for workmanship.
• Program and set up light-guided insertion machines.
• Set up firmware and testing according to specifications.
• Prepare test fixtures.

Facilities Assistant

• Install, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment, tools, and fixtures per maintenance schedules and instructions.
• Troubleshoot and repair machinery breakdowns.
• Plan, purchase, and install electrical services for machinery.
• Modify and update production equipment as needed.
• Document procedures for manufacturing processes.
• Assist in operator training and maintenance program setup.
• Help repair product assemblies or handle customer returns.
• Calibrate tools and equipment.
• Address safety issues and modify floor layout as needed.
• Handle hazardous chemicals responsibly.

Experience Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic data entry skills.
• 1-3 years related experience.
• Experience with SMT assembly.
• Ability to meet productivity and quality goals.
• Accuracy, timeliness, and ability to follow instructions.
• Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
• Basic math skills and teamwork orientation.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand, sit, walk, and operate equipment regularly, with occasional lifting up to 20 pounds. Visual acuity for close work is required.

Work Environment

Work involves exposure to moving parts, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, vibration, and heat. Noise levels are moderate.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay range: $22.75 - $24.40/hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), FSA, paid vacation and holidays, short and long-term disability, and tuition reimbursement.
