Job summary

Cargill is seeking a Production Technician I in Mentone, IN to safely operate basic production and material handling equipment, following established procedures and quality standards. You will contribute to daily operations by executing standard processes and learning new skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role involves loading and unloading, packaging, palletizing, monitoring equipment, performing light cleaning and inspections, and recording production data.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Understand and communicate efficiently in English (verbal/written).
• Ability to work indoors/outdoors environments (heat, cold, dust, and noise) while performing physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, bending, twisting, and working at heights (4 feet and above).

Responsibilities

• Operate basic production, packaging, weighing, and material handling equipment following standard work instructions.
• Load, unload, package, and palletize products to meet production and quality requirements.
• Monitor equipment and production processes, reporting issues or abnormalities to leadership.
• Perform basic cleaning, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks as instructed.
• Use simple computer systems or paperwork to record production and quality information.
• Follow all safety, food safety, and housekeeping standards to maintain a clean work environment.
• Work flexible schedules including overtime, weekends, holidays, or rotating shifts with advance notice.
