Overview:

Moog's Space & Defense Group, with the longest heritage at Moog, is seeking a Manufacturing Technician (Assembler) to join our Manufacturing Assembly and Test team in Gilbert, AZ. This role reports to our Manufacturing Supervisor and involves assembling high-reliability components for defense and space applications.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years experience in electrical assembly and soldering
• Experience with crimpling, medical devices, and electronic units repair
• Knowledge of J-STD crimping, torquing, IPC 610, and IPC 620 standards

Preferred Qualifications:

• NASA Certification
• Experience with avionics components and PCB rework
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and instructions
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with various teams and clients

Work Shift:

PPL 9/80 A, 7:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

• Assemble high-reliability chassis and assemblies, perform inspections, and FOD checks
• Conduct soldering and crimping on complex assemblies
• Set up and operate hydraulic and electronic measuring equipment
• Work from drawings, BOMs, and instructions to assemble and troubleshoot components
• Follow ESD procedures and meet high-reliability standards
• Contribute to process improvements and collaborate with engineering teams
• Maintain documentation and traceability records
• Travel to customer sites as needed

Salary Range:

Phoenix, AZ: $21.63 - $29.81 hourly

The actual salary will depend on experience and performance. Other rewards include bonuses and region-specific benefits.
