If you are an experienced, highly-technical, Field Service Technician who likes to travel while being based out of your home, we would love to speak with you.

What will you be doing?

1. Effectively install and set up all Wexxar/Bel/IPak machines.
2. Perform field rebuilds (partial or complete) of Wexxar/Bel/IPak equipment.
3. Provide excellent customer service by troubleshooting and resolving issues over the phone or at the customer's facility.
4. Assist with engineering sign-off processes, customer FATs, or provide technical support when not traveling.
5. Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and servo controllers on Wexxar/Bel/IPak equipment in the field.
6. Diagnose electrical, pneumatic, or mechanical problems in the field on the equipment.
7. Advise customers on parts needed; act as a salesperson to recommend parts for purchase.
8. Complete service reports, expense reports, and incident reports on Syteline on time as per company policy.
9. Travel on short notice for customer emergencies.
10. Arrange travel and accommodation using the company system, following procedures and policies.
11. Continuously update your knowledge on all Wexxar/Bel/IPak products through training sessions and courses.

Qualifications

• Technical college/University Trade Certification (Millwright, Technician) or at least 5 years related experience.
• For new graduates, training and guidance to develop into a world-class OEM specialist.
• Experience in packaging or automation industries is preferred but not required.
• Ability to travel within North America 70-85% of the time.
• Diploma in PLC/HMI/Servo Controls or related experience.
• Ability to follow pneumatic, wiring schematics, and electrical codes.
• Strong knowledge of PLC/HMI/Servo controls (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Festo, Bosch).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical ability.
• Experience with pneumatics and mechatronics.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to prioritize with minimal guidance.
• Valid passport and driver’s license; own car required.
