Job summary

Paso Robles & Templeton Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center is seeking a part-time Manufacturing Technician to support day-to-day production, packaging, inventory coordination, customer support, and website-related tasks. Responsibilities include production prep, accurate labeling, sanitation, inventory coordination with suppliers, order fulfillment, and timely customer communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; relevant food production experience may substitute.
• 0–2 years in food manufacturing or related fields; entry-level candidates can be trained.
• Knowledge of GMP/CGMP, hygiene, sanitation, contamination prevention, and allergen controls.
• Ability to follow recipes, batch instructions, SOPs, weighing and measuring requirements, labeling and packaging procedures.
• Ability to complete production records, cleaning logs, temperature records, and ingredient traceability documents.
• Ability to operate and clean food-production equipment after training.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move materials safely.

• Help ensure positive customer experience and timely responses.
• Support daily operations and suggest process improvements when needed.

General Operations

• Support the team in ensuring efficient daily operations and meeting production schedules.
• Assist management with operational tasks and process improvements when needed

Key Qualification:

• High school diploma/GED preferred, but relevant food-production experience may substitute.
• 0–2 years of food manufacturing, commercial kitchen, pet-food production, meat processing, or similar experience preferred. Entry-level candidates can be trained.
• Basic understanding of GMP/CGMP, hygiene, sanitation, contamination prevention, allergen/cross-contact controls, and safe food handling. Food Handler certification is preferred or can be obtained after hiring.
• Ability to follow recipes/formulations, batch instructions, SOPs, weighing and measuring requirements, labeling, packaging, freezing/refrigeration, and inventory procedures.
• Ability to accurately complete production records, cleaning logs, temperature records, ingredient lot/traceability records, and other required documentation.
• Ability to safely operate and clean food-production equipment after documented training.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive production activities, and safely lift/move materials consistent with the job description.
• Must recognize and immediately report deviations, damaged ingredients, temperature excursions, sanitation issues, labeling errors, or other potential food-safety/quality concerns.
• Must successfully complete company-required GMP, sanitation, food safety, SOP, safety, and job-specific training before performing applicable activities independently.
