SunOpta in Alexandria, Minnesota is looking for a Production Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance and repair of production equipment. The successful candidate will conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshooting while ensuring safety and quality in our operational processes.
A high school diploma or GED and at least two years of experience in a food-grade facility are required, with strong mechanical skills being essential. Benefits include medical, dental, and 401(k) options.
Production Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing efficient maintenance and repair of all extraction, mix‑blend, processing, filling and production equipment. Conducts preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and assists with other projects as assigned while reporting to the Maintenance Manager.

High school diploma, or GED; two or more years related experience in a food grade facility. Mechatronics / Aseptic processing and high‑speed form/fill/seal packaging preferred.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages.
Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Knowledge of business software and manufacturing software (HMIs, PLCs, and manufacturing controls).
Must be able to work flexible hours.
Boiler License and/or Electrician's License is a plus.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills critical.
Travel to other facilities and training may be required.
