SeaTrac Systems builds long-endurance, solar-powered unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) for scientific, commercial, and defense customers. Our boats operate for weeks at sea collecting and transmitting critical data. We are a small, hands-on team passionate about building reliable ocean robotics that work in the real world.
Job Description:
We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented technician to join our team and help build our solar-powered USVs. This is a in person full time first shift role that includes mechanical assembly, wiring, electronics work, and general shop support. You'll work directly with engineers and technicians to build boats from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
·Assemble and fabricate mechanical and electrical systems on USVs
·Install and wire components including sensors, batteries, radios, and solar panels
·Use basic hand and power tools to fabricate and fit hardware
·Solder, crimp, and assemble cables and harnesses
·Assist with inventory management and shop organization
·Support testing, troubleshooting, and field deployments as needed
Qualifications:
·Experience with basic hand and power tools (drill, saw, screwdriver, wrench, etc.)
·Comfortable with basic electronics tasks (soldering, wiring, crimping)
·Ability to read wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings a plus
·Attention to detail and pride in quality work
·Reliable, self-motivated, and eager to learn
·Marine or automotive experience is a bonus, but not required
