Responsibilities

• Cut wires to specified lengths according to production drawings, BOMs, and cut sheets.
• Verify wire gauge, color, and type meet specification requirements.
• Bundle and label cut wires for each assembly or work order.
• Strip wire insulation to specified lengths using approved tools.
• Inspect stripped wire ends for nicks, cuts, or conductor damage.
• Tin wire ends when required by specifications.
• Apply wire labels, markers, and heat-shrink identifiers per engineering drawings.
• Ensure all labeling accurately matches wire run designations.
• Pre-stage connectors, terminals, lugs, and ferrules according to the BOM.
• Crimp terminals onto wire ends using calibrated crimping tools, when authorized.
• Perform pull tests on crimped connections in accordance with quality standards.
• Assemble kits containing prepped wires, connectors, and hardware for each production order.
• Stage completed kits at designated production workstations.
• Verify kit completeness and accuracy prior to handoff.
• Conduct visual inspections of all prepared wires and assemblies; identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials.
• Complete required documentation on travelers, checklists, and work orders accurately and timely.
