Job summary

Sttark Group in Greenville, SC is seeking a skilled Technician to own the systems behind our manufacturing operation, including electrical, HVAC, compressed air, plumbing, and building infrastructure. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain critical equipment and act with strong hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll lead preventive maintenance, support new installations, coordinate contractors, and document work to prevent repeat issues.

Qualifications

• Professional hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, electrical, HVAC, or related technical field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair ability.
• Experience with equipment, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or other technical systems.
• Ability to read and work from technical manuals, diagrams, and specifications.
• Ability to work independently with good judgment and problem-solving.

The Role

Our manufacturing equipment can't run without the systems behind it. Power, compressed air, climate control, exhaust, network infrastructure, and the building itself all have to work—and we're looking for a skilled Technician who wants to take ownership of keeping those systems running and making them better.

On any given week, you might be troubleshooting an HVAC issue, running power or compressed air for a new machine, repairing a forklift, installing cable tray, tracking down an electrical problem, or figuring out why a recurring failure keeps happening. If you like working with your hands, solving different kinds of technical problems, and seeing the result of your work in a running manufacturing operation, you'll probably like this role.

As a member of our Technical Services team, you'll maintain and improve the systems and infrastructure our operation depends on while helping build what we need next. We need someone who already has a strong technical foundation and can independently troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems. We don't expect you to be an expert in every trade. Bring us strong mechanical aptitude, proven hands-on ability, good judgment, and the drive to figure things out—we can build additional skills from there.

What You'll Own

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the critical systems our manufacturing operation depends on, including electrical, HVAC/climate control, compressed air, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Find root causes, not just quick fixes. Use measurements, technical documentation, and hands-on testing to understand what failed and make sure the solution holds.
• Build and execute preventive maintenance that keeps systems reliable and prevents unexpected downtime.
• Support new machine installations and production buildouts by installing and coordinating power, cable tray, compressed air, exhaust, network connections, equipment placement, and other infrastructure.
• Maintain forklifts, lifts, shop equipment, and other operational support equipment.
• Perform hands-on repairs and installations, and use good judgment about when a job requires a specialized or licensed contractor.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors for larger repairs, installations, and technical projects.
• Document what you build, repair, and learn so the next person doesn't have to start from scratch.
• Look for better ways to improve safety, reliability, efficiency, and operating cost.

Required Skills

• Professional hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, construction, or a related technical field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair ability.
• Experience working with equipment, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or other technical systems. You don't need experience in every area listed in this posting.
• Ability to confidently and safely use hand tools, power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and work from technical manuals, diagrams, equipment specifications, and other technical documentation.
• Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and take a problem from diagnosis through resolution.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience with industrial electrical, HVAC/refrigeration, compressed air, plumbing, or preventive maintenance systems.
• Experience supporting equipment installations or infrastructure projects.
• Electrical, HVAC/EPA, forklift, lift, or other relevant technical certifications.
• Experience coordinating contractors or outside technical services.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, crawl, and work in tight spaces as needed.
• Ability to safely work from ladders, rooftops, scissor lifts, or aerial lifts.
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs., and heavier items with assistance or appropriate equipment.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
• Ability to work safely within a manufacturing environment and use required personal protective equipment.
