Job summary

Hendrickson in Somerset, KY seeks an experienced manufacturing technician to support paint and assembly processes, troubleshoot issues, and assist in problem isolation. You will back up axle, weld, and fab departments as needed, interpreting prints and data to improve tooling and processes.

The role requires five to seven years in a manufacturing facility, with strong mechanical aptitude, robotics/CNC training, and PLC knowledge. Shift is 2nd, with welding experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Interpret prints, sketches, verbal instructions, and mathematical data to identify tooling, gauging and fixturing.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset.
• Formal training in robotics systems, CNC controls, machining, and SPC.
• PLC programming knowledge and FANUC robotics background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply gauging, fixtures, and tooling concepts to assist in problem solving.
• Identify areas to improve tooling, cleanliness, operation sequences, or forming consistency to increase throughput or quality.
• Help maintain and control part programs for machining areas.
• Evaluate tooling and fixturing to determine optimum repair or improvement methods.
• Provide support to production associates as they assume greater responsibility.
