Job summary

voestalpine Roll Forming Corporation in Shelbyville, Kentucky seeks a Process Technician to work on the production floor with engineering teams, performing hands-on process support and tool development. You will troubleshoot, test, adjust equipment and analyze data to improve quality and uptime.

The role requires a strong background in metal forming/roll forming, CAD/Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to work on 2nd shift with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent education.
• Five+ years in metal forming/roll forming; include roll forming operations, progressive stamping, welding or tool & die.
• Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office.
• Must be a U.S. Person (ITAR/EAR).
• Two+ years in tryout, R&D (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide process operations support with hands-on troubleshooting and development.
• Assist in process optimization.
• Analyze data to improve process/tool quality.
• Perform process capability and uptime studies before handoff to manufacturing.
• Assist Maintenance Team on repeat machine problems.
• Implement CI/ cost-reduction and safety projects.
• Research trials on supplies and consumables to improve cost/quality.
