Job summary

Kraft Heinz's Mason City Plant is seeking Manufacturing Team Members to operate in a 24/7 food production environment. The role involves rotating 12-hour shifts (days/nights), strict safety and quality standards, and teamwork to maintain continuous production.

Starting wage around $22.77/hour with possible raises to $25.84/hour within 6–12 months, plus overtime eligibility, comprehensive benefits, PTO, and non-union team structure at a modern facility.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with 1 year manufacturing experience.
• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends.
• Ability to work overtime as necessary.
• Background in a manufacturing environment or technical background with electrical, mechanical, or automation experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment safely and efficiently.
• Read, follow, and update Job Task Analysis (JTAs) for the work area.
• Perform quality checks as required.
• Ensure proper raw or packaging components are used based on product requirements.
• Actively participate in the facility’s safety compliance program.
• Troubleshoots and resolves breakdowns.
• Maintains preventative maintenance and sanitation in the work area.
• Ensures efficient operation of equipment.
• Communicate with co-workers effectively to minimize interruptions in production.
• Follow FSQ requirements such as GMPs and QRMP duties.

The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking Manufacturing Team Members to work at our production facility in Mason City, IA. Ideal candidates must be safety and quality-orientated and be willing to work in a team-orientated, fast-paced work environment. This position requires individuals to perform general production duties in a food manufacturing environment following strict quality and safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have 1 year of manufacturing experience

• Candidates must be willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts alternating days and nights, including weekends

• Ability to work overtime as necessary

• Background in a manufacturing environment or technical background with electrical, mechanical, or automation experience

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• 3 weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO)

Work Schedule:

• 12-hour rotating shifts on a 4-days-on, 4-days-off schedule, alternating days and nights (6:15 AM-6:30 PM / 6:15 PM-6:30 AM), including weekends and holidays.

Plant Overview:

• Products: Refrigerated Ready-to-Eat Jell-O gels, puddings and cheesecake

• The plant runs 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. This continuous process is supported by four shift teams with over 150 employees.

• Non-union facility

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Operate and maintain equipment in the area in a safe and efficient manner

• Read, follow, and update Job Task Analysis (JTAs) for work area

• Perform quality checks as required

• Ensure proper raw or packaging components are used based on product requirements

• Actively participate in the facility’s safety compliance program

• Sustains responsibility for preventative maintenance and sanitation in the work area

• Ensures efficient operation of equipment
