Job summary

Haworth is seeking a Team Leader for the 1st shift in the Holland, MI wood plant. You will lead a production team, drive safety, quality, and schedule adherence, and actively participate in continuous improvement projects.

You will coach and develop team members while coordinating with supervisors to meet daily and weekly production goals. This role requires OT availability and a willingness to work in a manufacturing environment on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience working in a team based manufacturing environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck (PIT) certification.
• Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to lift/move products weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in noise, dust, fumes, dirt, solvent, glue, grease, oil, paint, heat, and/or vibrations.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.

Responsibilities

• Leads team to meet safety, quality, schedule, cost, culture, and environmental goals through coaching and training to distribution/production team members.
• Actively assumes production job responsibilities of any team member.
• Launches daily work schedule within the department/area and posts schedules.
• Communicates organizational priorities and updates to the team.
• Trains employees and provides guidance on new processes and SOPs.
• May serve as supervisor back-up and attend Tier 2/3 meetings.
• Participates in continuous improvement activities and Haworth production system projects.
