Job summary

Steel Ceilings, a subsidiary of Armstrong World Industries, is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor at our Johnstown, Ohio facility to lead a small team on the production floor, ensuring safety, quality, and timely output while implementing company policies.

You will train staff, coordinate with maintenance and quality for continuous improvement, and help schedule manpower to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading or managing people in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, use computers for programming equipment.
• Proficiency in fabrication equipment and Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to learn PLC, HMI, CNC, EPICOR and Trello Production Tracking.

Responsibilities

• Conduct shift meetings covering safety, quality, and daily goals.
• Ensure safety standards are followed and communicated to reports.
• Complete accident paperwork and report near misses.
• Coordinate with Plant Manager on employment standards and issues.
• Attend required training programs and conform to company policies.
• Maintain customer-focused production output with quality.
• Train employees and address staffing needs and workloads.
• Work with procurement to schedule materials and track issues.
• Operate and setup tooling and equipment, interpret process sheets.
