Job summary

VEGA Americas Internal Applications is seeking a hands-on supervisor to oversee production teams in Mason, Ohio. The role focuses on coaching and training, resolving operational issues, and ensuring on-time delivery by effectively deploying labor and equipment.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree and 2–4 years of related experience or an equivalent mix of education and training, with a track record of driving workplace improvements.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree required; two to four years related experience and/or training.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews production and operating reports to resolve problems and prevent delays.
• Provides lead times to Sales for non-standard equipment requests.
• Evaluates and responds to expedite requests.
• Ensures on-time delivery to Shipping through proper deployment of labor and equipment.
• Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance.
• Resolves worker issues or submits unsettled issues to Human Resources.
• Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data and uses it to drive improvement.
• Facilitates meetings of the Cell members.
• Coaches team members.
• Manages employee time cards, including vacation requests.
• Develops training plans and facilitates training of new team members.
• Identifies and tracks personnel who will handle hazardous material to ensure regulatory training is completed.
• Follows up on individual productivity issues to ensure knowledge requirements are met.
