Job summary

Siemens in Wendell, NC is seeking a Team Lead I for the GIS production team on the 1st shift. You will report to the Production Manager and lead manufacturing activities at the Wendell, NC plant. Shift hours are 6:00AM–2:30PM with an hourly rate of $24.79.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing, SAP knowledge, English proficiency, and the ability to train staff, operate Microsoft Office, and lift up to 50 lbs. This is a hands-on leadership position in a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ work experience in manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge on all operations in the area, material flow and SAP transactions.
• Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Experience in training programs.
• Must be able to use Microsoft Office.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and move heavy material.

Responsibilities

• Empowers the team, coordinates employees to fulfill work schedules and serves as backup for the Production Manager.
• Oversees cross-training, maintains the training matrix and ensures tool calibration is current.
• Manages time effectively, prioritizes tasks, and enforces safety policies.
• Performs SAP transactions, updates reports and accesses production documentation.
• Identifies issues, collaborates with other departments and supports continuous improvement.
• Applies Lean principles (5S/6S, 8 Wastes, VSM, Kaizen) and maintains a clean, safe workspace.
