Job summary

Siemens in Wendell, NC is seeking a Team Lead I for the GIS production team on the first shift. The role leads manufacturing activities at the Wendell plant and reports to the Production Manager. Shift hours are 6:00AM – 2:30PM with an hourly rate of $24.79.

The position requires a High School/GED and 5+ years in manufacturing, plus knowledge of SAP and Lean practices. Applicants must be US-authorized to work without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of operations in the area, material flow and SAP transactions.
• English reading, writing and speaking at a basic proficiency level.
• Experience in training programs.
• Must be able to use Microsoft Office.
• Ability to reach, grasp, lift 50 lbs and move heavy material.
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship is required.

Responsibilities

• Empowers the team, coordinates employees to meet work schedules, and backs up the Production Manager.
• Oversees cross-training, maintains the training matrix, and ensures tool calibration is current.
• Manages time effectively and ensures adherence to safety policies.
• Performs SAP transactions and updates production reports and metrics.
• Identifies production issues and collaborates with other departments for resolution.
• Applies Lean principles like 5S/6S, 8 Wastes, VSM, Kaizen, and Standard Work.
