Job summary

Baxter International is seeking a Team Lead for its manufacturing operations in the US. The role focuses on keeping production lines running safely and efficiently, guiding a team, and ensuring quality products reach customers on time.

You will lead, coach, and develop team members, coordinate with supervisors, support hiring and onboarding, and participate in Lean initiatives and safety programs to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum 6 months of manufacturing experience and demonstrated leadership skills.
• Basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to communicate with team members.
• Understand safety/quality instructions and read work instructions including drawings.
• Able to perform basic mathematics.
• PIV (Powered Industrial Vehicle) operator certification or ability to obtain.
• Inspector certification or ability to obtain.
• Experience as Sr. Material Handler/Production Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Foster a safe work environment and apply 6S principles.
• Set up production lines and step in to operate equipment as needed.
• Motivate and develop employees to create a positive work environment.
• Assist in hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and training new employees.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement, Lean initiatives and defect prevention.
• Review batch documentation and perform preventative maintenance.
