Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated in Cypress, TX is seeking a production systems engineer to support design, implementation and continuous improvement of manufacturing systems. This role focuses on optimizing efficiency, reliability and safety on the shop floor.

You will work cross-functionally with operations, production teams and vendors, develop standard operating procedures, deliver training, and ensure equipment is maintained per manufacturer guidelines.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Some college in related field is preferred.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with operations and production teams.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop manufacturing systems and processes to improve efficiency and performance.
• Maintain and support existing and newly implemented systems.
• Develop, document, and update work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain quotes, manage follow-ups, and support procurement activities.
• Collaborate with Team Leads to understand operational needs and implement effective solutions.
• Deliver training to personnel on systems, processes, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot processes and/or systems as needed.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services and ensure manufacturer instructions are followed.
• Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.
