Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Exton, PA to develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes that improve productivity, quality, safety, and cost. You will work with production, quality, maintenance, supply chain and engineering teams, lead CI initiatives, create SOPs, support new product introductions, and ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and manufacturing process design.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to generate and deliver presentations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes, workflows, and plant layouts.
  • Analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and increased efficiency.
  • Lead continuous improvement and other operational excellence methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and SOPs.
  • Support new product introductions by developing manufacturing processes and validating production readiness.
  • Investigate production issues and implement CAPA.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for quality, safety, and operational challenges.
  • Evaluate and recommend equipment, tooling, automation, and technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with quality teams to ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal quality systems.
  • Participate in capital projects, including equipment selection, installation, commissioning, and validation.
  • Monitor KPIs and develop strategies to improve throughput, yield, utilization, and overall equipment utilization.
  • Support safety programs and ensure processes comply with EH&S standards.
  • Train production personnel in new processes, equipment, and best practices.

Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency. This position works closely with production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and engineering teams to ensure products are manufactured according to specifications while meeting operational and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct root cause analysis for quality, safety, and operational challenges.
  • Evaluate and recommend equipment, tooling, automation, and technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with quality teams to ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal quality systems.
  • Participate in capital projects, including equipment selection, installation, commissioning, and validation.

Required Qualifications
