Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead a team of 11 engineers and technicians, guiding continuous improvement to meet productivity, quality and schedule goals.

You will mentor staff, manage budgets, plan production, and collaborate with cross-functional groups while ensuring compliance with defense safety standards and ITAR. A hands-on leader capable of motivating others and driving Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field; MS preferred.
• 2+ years of management experience.
• Experience mentoring engineers and technicians.
• Leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Manufacturing Engineering department with a focus on growth, productivity, and site performance.
• Manage hiring, training, and performance reviews for engineers and technicians.
• Plan, assign, and direct work; monitor budgets and schedules.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methods.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer schedules and quality.
• Provide regular status reports and escalate issues as needed.
