Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC seeks a Software Development Manager to lead manufacturing software systems powering production operations for the Amazon Leo satellite fleet. You will own the technical roadmap, define requirements, and architect scalable solutions that integrate with manufacturing systems.

You will guide rapid prototypes and collaborate with technology leaders to optimize throughput, safety, and efficiency using AWS, IoT, and data analytics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience.
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement manufacturing software systems for production operations of the Amazon Leo satellite fleet, including integration with manufacturing systems.
• Architect scalable software solutions that meet functional requirements, security standards, and performance specifications.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency and production quality.
• Define and implement growth strategies for software services and team capabilities.
• Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team.
